  6. Congratulations on your successful trip upstairs. Most of the responses on your blog are rightfully very supportive, those very few negatives don’t seem to comprehend that you are opening up a vast future for all humanity rather than prolonging a dismal present for some. So give yourself several pats on the back. Maybe we will get to shake your hand at Xprize.

Safe landing, your blog is terrific, really enjoyed reading it.
It has been a busy place at the ISS the last couple of weeks. Met Burt Rutan and Mike Melville at EAA AirVenture 2006 this summer at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Dick Rutan was also present at the airshow.

  37. Yes, she’s a great writer. I dreamed of space many times, but I never could imagine things so clear, I never could feel it so near. I said to myself: Well, the mankind got to space for almost half a century, hundreds of astronauts and cosmonauts have flown there for free but none was so sensitive, so talented and so generous to share with us what he or she saw and what he or she fel up there. Anouseh added real value with her flight and this is a prove that privat spacetravel could bring lot of benefits for all of us. I guess she has broght an entirely new perspective about spacetravel, realy humanising it.
Come safely home Anousheh, you did a great job up there!

  38. Yes, Indeed, after weeks of foolowing all her news and some days of sharing all her moments and thinking of her constantly, we are all waiting for her safe return. She made many think of the possibnility of making their dreams come true. The realisation of dreams, takes us further than space. This is a window to eternity.
I think those who have had the chance of following this magnificent event, should thank all those benind her flight. Thank you all.

  52. Dear Anousheh ,

I don’t know why in 3 last days , whenever I read your blog , I’ve not found a new one , but today I encountered with all your writings from Sep. 26 . very , very interesting … you described every thing in such a way that I feel I’m there in ISS , with you , I smell burned almond coocies🙂 , I feel the coldness of window when gazing at universe , and I try to open my eyes not to loose such a magnificent sight ….
GOD … I really hope from my bottom of my heart to have a chance , even a moment , to see the universe from up there …
when in the darkness of night , out of lights of this city , I’ve watch the sky , my spirit goes up there ….
I think really we are all From STAR DUSTS , once first sparkles of human creation was up there … between stars …

anyway , I hope you pass these last houres in ISS in the best way , and you and other crews have a safe and amazing
    re-entry …..
lookforward to read your amazing expriences after your return ,

you don’t know how much I like to to tell you more and more , and read or hear from you more and more …

    lots of love ,

Now I know I will miss these days, the moments I spent reading your blog are very beautiful, inspirational and informative. Safe return home, I will be imagining you returning, and will be waiting for when you tell us about your journey to earth.

As I promised, I will paint for you 20 September; I named the painting “Space Dream”. Just I wish you will accept it, will you? It will be a great honor for me.

You write so beautifully and everyone who reads you feel they know you.May what you are experiencing there always remain within your soul so you never tire of sharing the joy and wonder of it with others when you return.
Your reflections remind me of a hymn “How Great Thou Art”.
If you know it please sing it there for all of us earthlings here.
In case you don’t..these are the lyrics of one verse of the hymn ..maybe you can whisper it.
“O lord My God when I in awesome wonder
consider all the works thy hands have made
I see the stars,I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee
How Great thou art ,how great thou art
Then sings my soul my Saviour God to thee
How Great thou art,How Great Thou Art.”

Its a privillege to be able to write to you in space.I don’t believe this !!
Good morning, goodevening, goodnight what do you say there ?
Its getting to be night here in Kolkata in India and the biggest festival for people here is about to begin with a big bang tonight ..the Durga Puja festival. There will be plenety of lights and sound so watch out for the display tonight the opening night.

With laughter and warms hugs to all of you UP there,

  79. Hello, Anousheh!

You make me happy! I always have the dream to fly in space, when I’m children.
    I’m brazilian.
Today, I’m a independent artist, and I love oriental music very much, I play Indian Tablas and make a fusion between orientals and and brazilian rhytms.
I’ve make a song named “Poeira de Estrelas” ( dust of stars…) and you can listen in my page.
If you listen this song in the space, it’s for me a big happyness, because is a manier to me to be in the space…
    Friendly

  82. Peter,

I am sitting here at work wiping the tears from my face every day after reading Anousheh’s latest enrty. It is really embarassing, since I am a guy, but I have not been caught yet. Of course, I should not read this blog at work, but I just have to see if there was a new entry.

I hope Anousheh chooses to become a driving force for space enterprenourship. She seems to have all the tools for it: charisma, financial support, supportive family and friends, and last, but not least, genuine enthusiasm. She really does believe in this stuff, I think.

But even if she retires to a beach house on Maui, I will be glad to know that people like her can still exist.
